Why was this site started?

My friends and I have always been interested in amusing ourselves with things on the internet. My friend started Anaxified (www.anaxified.com), and we could entertain ourselves with stories or thoughts about certain events. It was just a nice forum to express ourselves.

Well in 2004, my friend thought it would be cool if we could somehow use our cell phones to immediately post something on his site. That way we could let people know what was currently going on in our lives. So I started work on a script that would do this.

Once I completed the script, some of our other friends wanted to join in on the fun. At first in order to add people, it was a manual process where my friend had to build them an account for his site, then I had to list their cell number in the script. This was a pain. So I started thinking of a way to automate everything. As I was doing this it dawned on me that maybe other people might want this on their own site or their myspace page. This lead me to make this service.

What this site wants to accomplish?

This service was started to provide people another avenue to express their opinions, capture their events, and keep their friends informed on what is going on. It is my hopes that people will enjoy this site and maybe make it the most used mobile blogging site. This is all done for entertainment, so we hope you all enjoy the service.

Future of the site?

I hope to continually update the site to include features that our users prefer. This should be an evolving service for sometime as this is kind of new territory. Please feel free to send us any suggestions you have.
